I am a professional chef, food stylist, recipe tester, nutrition enthusiast, dog lover, and avid runner. Originally from Paradise Valley, Arizona, I spent my young years watching and learning to cook from my parents, both skillful gardeners who masterfully transform their bounty into fresh, healthful, delicious dinners. After a successful career in diving and the completion of a degree in Anthropology from Stanford University, I found my way to Florence, Italy, where I fully immersed myself in the culinary background that would solidify my love for cooking seasonally inspired, market-driven food.
Upon return, I moved to New York City, where I spent nine years honing my skills in the trenches of top restaurants, including Per Se, Gramercy Tavern, and Franny's. From there, I transitioned to the role of Personal Chef, curating client-specific meal plans that range from breakfasts to weeknight suppers to drop-off meal delivery to formal dinner parties.
A cross-country moved landed me in Seattle, WA, among the world's best oysters, berries, and microbrews. When I am not working or trolling the markets for the freshest products, I can often be found running miles around the city's beautiful lakes and parks or hiking it's neighboring peaks with my husband and two boys.
Through all of this, I continuously return to what impassions me - supporting local and sustainable farmers and producers, moving with the seasons, cooking responsibly and ethically, and enjoying good food with great company.
